House Demo­c­ra­tic Cau­cus Chair­man John B. Larson of Con­necti­cut counts 264 other House-​​passed bills that “are over there” await­ing Sen­ate action.

“Of course we’re frus­trated by cast­ing tough votes and then hav­ing the Sen­ate spurn leg­is­la­tion. It’s not help­ful,” he said.

Pretty damn unbe­liev­able. 264 bills, includ­ing sev­eral pieces of major leg­is­la­tion? I’m sur­prised we still have a coun­try at that rate.
